1. Who we are
This website, locationvaluecovenants.org.uk, is operated by the Systemic Fiscal Reform Group under the name Location Value Covenants.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, the website operator is responsible for deciding how personal information associated with this website is used.
Privacy enquiries may be sent to:
robinsmith3@gmail.com
2. Purpose of this website
This website publishes policy research and explanatory material concerning Location Value Covenants.
It does not currently provide user accounts, accept comments, operate a mailing list or contain a contact form. We do not use personal information obtained through this website for commercial advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.
3. Information processed when you visit
When you visit the website, limited technical information may be processed automatically in order to deliver and protect it. This can include:
- Your Internet Protocol address;
- The date and time of a request;
- The requested page or resource;
- Browser, device and operating-system information;
- Referring-page information;
- Information used to identify malicious, automated or abnormal traffic; and
- Security events generated when Cloudflare applies its security controls.
This information is not used by us to identify ordinary visitors.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not deliberately place advertising, behavioural-tracking or first-party analytics cookies.
Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technical mechanisms when required to provide security, traffic management or challenge functionality. These mechanisms are used to protect and deliver the website rather than to build advertising profiles.
If analytics, embedded third-party material or other non-essential technologies are introduced later, this notice and the website’s consent arrangements will be reviewed before they are enabled.
5. Why information is processed
Technical and security information is processed where necessary for our legitimate interests in:
- Publishing and delivering the website;
- Maintaining its security and availability;
- Preventing abuse and malicious traffic;
- Diagnosing technical faults; and
- Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
We consider this limited processing proportionate because the website does not use the information for advertising or visitor profiling.
6. Cloudflare
The website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network and security information on our behalf to deliver pages, provide encryption, manage traffic and protect the website from attacks.
Cloudflare operates a global network. Consequently, technical information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where required, such transfers are protected through appropriate contractual and legal safeguards.
Further information is available in Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
7. Retention
We do not maintain our own visitor database or routinely download identifiable visitor logs.
Technical and security information made available through Cloudflare is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for website operation, security monitoring and incident investigation. It will ordinarily be allowed to expire within Cloudflare’s applicable retention period.
Information relating to a particular security incident or legal claim may be retained for longer where this is necessary to investigate the incident, protect the website or comply with a legal obligation.
8. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information.
Technical information may be processed by Cloudflare and by other service providers where necessary to operate, secure or maintain the website. It may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to:
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you;
- Request a copy of that information;
- Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- Ask for information to be erased;
- Ask us to restrict how information is used;
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Because we do not maintain visitor profiles and may possess only limited technical records, we may not always be able to identify information as relating to a particular visitor.
To exercise a right, contact robinsmith3@gmail.com.
You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
10. External links
This website may link to material operated by other organisations. Those organisations are responsible for their own websites and privacy practices.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if the website, its service providers or applicable law changes. The latest version will always be published on this page with its revision date.
